This large,16th century farmhouse in Parson Drove required extensive work to the roof and brickwork. The several hundred year-old natural slates had finally expired. Trusses were repaired before re-laying with high-grade, natural Spanish slate to the extensive front panel and enormous back panel in the hot, yet unpredicatable summer of 2021. The limestone mortar on the front-facing wall had corroded, so was repointed with new lime-cement, a time-consuming but satisfying task.
